Whether it's a slow drip that finally gave out or a sudden flood at midnight, Ovid residents call one number and get a real answer. Our Ovid-based teams roll out with extraction and drying gear already loaded, not scrambling to gather it after the call.
Plenty of Ovid families have dialed a big national number and waited through hold music before a random contractor showed up hours later, and Hirex Water Damage exists specifically to fix that pattern. Every technician you'll meet is a direct Hirex Water Damage employee, not a subcontractor pulled from an app.
Our lead technicians hold IICRC water restoration certification and have worked jobs ranging from a single soaked bedroom to a fully flooded commercial floor, which is why Water Damage Repair in Ovid is treated as a specialty, not a side offering. We carry full liability coverage and hold active licensing to operate throughout Ovid, MI.
Equipment lives in a Ovid-area warehouse rather than being trucked in from three counties over, which shortens arrival time considerably.
Talk to a Ovid landlord who's lived through a burst supply line at 3am and they'll confirm that response speed, not just skill, determines how much a job ends up costing. That gap between a fast, equipped response and a slow, improvised one is exactly what Hirex Water Damage was built to close.
We also invest in ongoing technician training, since restoration methods and equipment keep evolving and a Ovid crew running outdated techniques does the property a disservice.
Not every water problem looks dramatic — some of the costliest Ovid repairs began as a barely-noticeable issue. Here's what tells our team a Ovid property needs a professional look rather than a mop and a fan:
If any of that sounds familiar, don't wait for it to get worse — call our Ovid line and we'll give you a straight answer on urgency.
Whether it's a small residential leak or a large commercial loss, our Ovid teams size the crew and equipment to fit. Each item on this list corresponds to an actual step in our process, not a generic label.
Truck-mount extraction on every Ovid rig means high-volume pickup starts the same day, not the next. Moisture mapping follows every extraction so we know which materials are still holding water once the visible flooding is gone.
Our drying plans rely on moisture meters and thermal imaging to target air movers exactly where hidden Ovid moisture is trapped, with daily logs so you can watch the numbers improve.
For Ovid families, our scope covers flood-cut work, subfloor evaluation, and packing out belongings that can be cleaned and restored, with photo documentation at every stage for your insurance file.
Ovid businesses and property managers get a dedicated project lead, after-hours crews, and equipment scaled to square footage — a flooded lobby or a leaking unit above tenants has to move fast.
Category 3 blackwater calls for full PPE, antimicrobial treatment, and disposal of anything porous that touched the contamination — our Ovid crews are trained for that exact protocol.
On top of standard drying, our Ovid crews apply antimicrobial treatment and will tell you plainly if a section needs specialist attention.
We quote every Ovid job before equipment gets plugged in, so there's no surprise charge buried in the final invoice.
Because equipment is staged inside Ovid, most calls see a technician on-site in under an hour.
We document every Ovid job with photos and moisture logs and can speak directly with your adjuster.
If moisture readings aren't where they should be at the end of a Ovid job, we come back and keep drying at no extra charge.
Our Ovid team asks just enough to send the right-sized crew, not a generic single technician every time.
Our nearest available Ovid crew is dispatched immediately with truck-mount gear on board.
Standing water comes out first, then we map moisture and position air movers based on the readings.
We re-check moisture daily until materials hit dry standard, then hand you full documentation for your records.
Our Ovid technicians take moisture readings at the start and end of every job, and the final number has to hit dry standard before we leave. If a callback within 30 days shows lingering moisture from the same loss, we return and correct it at no additional charge.
We put the guarantee directly on the work order for every Ovid job, in writing. We try to return the same crew for any callback so the person handling it already knows the property and the original readings.
We built this guarantee because Ovid property owners deserve more than a verbal assurance that a job is done — they deserve proof.

Drying time varies by material and how fast extraction started, but 3-5 days is typical for most Ovid jobs.

You don't have to stay on-site the entire time equipment is running, though we do need periodic access for moisture checks.
